Retreat Offerings
Somatic Healing
The stresses of life can take us out of our body and fray our nervous systems. Somatic healing draws our attention inward to reconnect with our intuition and innate ability to heal. Somatic movement is exploratory, helping us slow down and listen deeply to our inner wisdom.
Somatic yoga, myofascial release, healing touch, self-massage with a ball… you will be amazed by the results, and you can stay in community with your friends while you receive treatment.
Yoga & Breathwork
Yoga is so much more than fitness; it is a tool for connecting to our inner wisdom and self-healing powers. Yoga aligns our mind, body, and spirit to illuminate our deepest needs and desires.
We offer several different styles of yoga, such as restorative, yin, flow, vinyasa, adapted kundalini, journalling with yoga, partner yoga, and yoga sculpt. With two instructors, one acts as lead while the other provides individualized adjustments. We hold a safe space that is adaptable to all body types and abilities.
Ayurvedic Cooking & Wellness Practices
Ayurveda (pronounced ai-yer-vay-duh) is the traditional holistic healing practice of India. This sister-science to yoga helps us fine tune our eating and self-care practices based on our unique health and energy needs.
Sarah and Marike can cook seasonal, energetically balanced meals for retreat participants. Better yet, participants can help prepare simple Ayurvedic comfort-food that will nourish and energize. Everyone will leave with cleansing spice kits and recipes.
Other Ayurvedic wellness options are available, from assessments to identify participants unique wellness needs with specific, personalized recommendations to an Abhyanga self-massage class,
Council Circles
We practice Council, a ritualized sharing circle. We believe that Council is a critical element to every retreat due to its power to foster authentic expression and develop the safe container for the retreat group. Participants speak one at a time, responding to prompts by sharing from their personal experience, while other members of the circle listen from the heart in a loving, non-judgmental way.
In addition, team-building games, partner dialogue, and partner yoga are specific opportunities to connect.
Creative Expression
Creating art can give voice to our soul in transformative and empowering ways. Through different creative practices, we can play, tap into joy, and express parts of ourselves that are not always easy to express in words. What’s your medium? Are you interested in vision boarding? Guided art “therapy?” Mindful coloring? We will guide your creative expression.
Sound Healing
Certain therapeutic sounds are believed to reduce stress, improve mood, foster emotional release, and improve health.
We offer kirtan (traditional yogic chanting), live music, and sound baths, during our yoga sessions or independently, to create a powerful vibration in the body, clearing the mind and elevating the spirit.
Nature Therapy
We are all living in a digital age that can be overstimulating and anxiety producing. Incessant emails and notifications keep us plugged in and stressed out. Research shows that being in nature can improve mental health and overall wellbeing. Through guided nature walks, manifestation gardening, and outdoor yoga, participants re-ground, tapping into a sense of calmness, creativity, and joy.
Woo Woo
Spiritual or mystical practices can help us connect to the transcendent, the divine within and around us.
Crystal gridding, Tarot readings, group medium readings and integration of oracle cards can augment your experience. Facilitated by the Revive team or an outside vendor, participants ca tap into the magic of the unseen.
Breath Work
Pranayama, or a set yogic breathing techniques, clears out psychic clutter and increases our Prana, the vital life force within us.
By practicing Pranayama in meditation or during movement, participants learn tools to expand and direct the energy that grounds, inspires, and opens creative flow within.
What’s your passion?
It can be really meaningful if you lead a session. We are experienced educators and will help you plan and teach your “skill” to the group— are you a knitter? a scrapbooker? photographer? Share your passion with your group.
